FEU Institute of Education @ 87: Continuing the Legacy

The new IE Alumni Association President, Dr. Hernando L. Bernal, Jr., envisions the association to “[r]eactivate, reach out, re-engage all FEU IE Alumni.” With the vision that “no one is left behind” under his leadership, the officers plan to create a network of professionals (Human Resource in the field of education), provide enrichment of the professional (Continuing Professional Development), and build a strong partnership with FEU community and stakeholders.

2nd International Nursing Conference

The FEU Alumni Relations Office and Institute of Nursing, in collaboration with FEU Nursing Alumni Foundation, Inc. – USA (FEUNAF, Inc. – USA), spearheaded the 2021 FEU International Nursing Conference last May 27 and 28, 2021, PST and May 26 and 27, 2021, EST. The conference is on its 2nd year of providing opportunities to nursing professionals and students to learn from expert practitioners and academicians from the best hospitals and universities in the world.

Quintin Yuyitung was illegally detained, deported, and imprisoned for daring to report on Marcos’ re-election fraud and the First Quarter Storm. Bonifacio H. Gillego traveled to the USA to escape manhunts by Marcos military men and eventually helped expose Marcos’ lies about his military service and medals.

Two FEU alumni are the first non-Korean artists to exhibit artworks in the famous Yeongwol Park Museum of South Korea.

Filipino Artists Dexter Sy and LJ Ablola, both graduates of fine arts in FEU, are set to hold an exhibition of their artworks in the well-renowned Yeongwol Park Museum. Yeongwol is a contemporary art museum in the outskirts of Seoul (Gangwon-do, South Korea) and has grown to be one of the go-to places of tourists and art enthusiasts due to its unique and stylish artworks.

FEU Cavite’s Basic Education Building is one of the honorees in the 2020 Haligi ng Dangal Awards.

The Basic Education Building of FEU Silang Campus is one of the honorees (Peoples’ Choice Award) in Haligi ng Dangal Awards 2020. Designed by Ar. Daniel Lichauco (Archion Architects), the building is dubbed as an environmental institutional structure for the K-12 students of the university and specifically built to meet the needs of a younger student population.
