Dr. Leo Francis Pacquing, an FEU BS Biology Graduate batch 2006, led the team of experts in performing the first Corneal Transplant in the Ilocos Region last February 20, 2024. Currently, the chair of the Department of Opthalmology at St. Martin de Porres Hospital in Candon City, Dr. Pacquing, said that The initiation of the first Penetrating Keratoplasty (PKP) in Ilocos Sur is a pivotal step forward for our medical community, mirroring the significant impact of the first vitreoretinal surgery we introduced back in 2019.

Far Eastern University, in partnership with Philippine Air Force Reserve Command,  Ronald McDonald House of Charities-Philippines, Anytime Fitness Asia, Black Pencil Project, Magician FERDiNi, Christ-Church Ortigas Mission, MC Display & Metalcraft Corp. TACT Mission, Pahinga Store, Stripes Ministry, and the Provincial Government of Batanes conducted an outreach program recently.

Far Eastern University, the FEU Nursing Alumni Foundation (FEUNAF-USA), a US-Based 501c certified non-profit organization, led by Nelson Co and Roselily Chan of its East Coast Chapter, together with the FEU Alumni Relations Office (FEU-ARO), conducted a Cataract Surgical/Medical Mission in Narvacan District Hospital in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur recently.

Several members of the Kababaihan ng Payatas, led by Sr. Maria Lourdes Velasco, gained new skills after having participated in a seminar on soilless farming last March 15 at Far Eastern University (FEU).

During the seminar, they were introduced to the innovative livelihood program on aquaponics and hydroponics farming.

Juan Miguel Montinola, president of Far Eastern University (FEU) spearheaded the renewal of the partnership agreement with Taylor’s University (TU) in Malaysia. The event commemorated the two institutions’ Crystal Anniversary— a collaborative journey spanning 15 years, underscoring their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and cultural exchange.

The four pioneer grantees of the Lydia A. Palaypay Endowment (LAPE) board exam review sponsorship passed the recently concluded Nursing Licensure Examination. Jahnna Marcelo, Sophia Musni, Marinelle Santos, and Trisha Talag applied for the grant earlier this year to get a subsidy for their enrollment at a nursing review center. 

Far Eastern University enters the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings in Asia for the first time. The University is among the 16 Philippine schools in the QS University Asia Rankings.

The FEU Alumni Relations Office (ARO), in partnership with the FEU Community Extension Services and the FEU Alumni Foundation, Inc., spread joy and a festive atmosphere in Barangay Quilitisan, Calatagan, Batangas recently.

FEU Institute of Technology is declared Rank 1 – Top Performing Schools in the October 2023 Electronics Technicians Licensure Exam for attaining a 94.34 percent passing rate.

Alumnus Christian James Millando landed in 10th place of the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants, with a score of 88.33 percent.

Also passing the boards were 60 FEU Manila Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduates.
