FEU alumnus leads 1st corneal transplant in Ilocos

Dr. Leo Francis Pacquing, an FEU BS Biology Graduate batch 2006, led the team of experts in performing the first Corneal Transplant in the Ilocos Region last February 20, 2024. Currently, the chair of the Department of Opthalmology at St. Martin de Porres Hospital in Candon City, Dr. Pacquing, said that The initiation of the first Penetrating Keratoplasty (PKP) in Ilocos Sur is a pivotal step forward for our medical community, mirroring the significant impact of the first vitreoretinal surgery we introduced back in 2019.

FEU conducts Batanes outreach with Air Force reservists

Far Eastern University, in partnership with Philippine Air Force Reserve Command,  Ronald McDonald House of Charities-Philippines, Anytime Fitness Asia, Black Pencil Project, Magician FERDiNi, Christ-Church Ortigas Mission, MC Display & Metalcraft Corp. TACT Mission, Pahinga Store, Stripes Ministry, and the Provincial Government of Batanes conducted an outreach program recently.

Tamaraws go on a medical mission in Ilocos

Far Eastern University, the FEU Nursing Alumni Foundation (FEUNAF-USA), a US-Based 501c certified non-profit organization, led by Nelson Co and Roselily Chan of its East Coast Chapter, together with the FEU Alumni Relations Office (FEU-ARO), conducted a Cataract Surgical/Medical Mission in Narvacan District Hospital in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur recently.

FEU Alumni visits Brgy. Quilitisan for donations and capacity-building seminar

The FEU Alumni Relations Office, through the assistance of the SWORD FEUSF Alumni International Association(ROTC), donated a brand new motorcycle with a sidecar to Quilitisan Livelihood Credit Cooperative, a cooperative initially organized by FEU Community Extension Services to help uplift the standard of living among residents of the said coastal community.
