Ms. Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (1984) Cum Laude graduate and 2018 Outstanding Alumni awardee, has been appointed president of the real property giant developer Megaworld Corporation. She took over the post from no less than the founder, Dr. Andrew Tan.
Before her appointment, Ms. Lou was Megaworld Corporation’s chief operating officer and Chairman of its property management arm, Firts Oceanic Property Management, Inc. She also serves as a director of various affiliate companies of the group. She has been with Megaworld since 1990.
Recently, the Philippine Daily Inquirer recognized her as one of the WOMEN OF POWER. She joins 30 other women who are modern-day trailblazers and changemakers and were recognized in celebration of International Women’s Month.
Currently, Ms. Lou sponsors six FEU IABF students through the Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso Scholarship Program. Three of them graduated on July 10, 2024.
