Four Don Bosco technical and vocational education and training students, part of the pioneer batch of scholars under the Far Eastern University Alumni Scholarship and Financial Aid Program, graduated last August 4.
John Mark Atienza, Jude Perry Franco, Celsis Mark Ruado, and Mabell Laquesta finished the 10-month course program, which started in August 2022. Atienza graduated with three awards, including First Honorable Mention in General Electrician course, Academic Excellence in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Mechanic, and Best in Workshop in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
The FEU Alumni Scholarship and Financial Aid Program of the FEU Alumni Relations Office (ARO) aims to financially support deserving but underprivileged students who wish to enroll in a technical vocational course. It is funded through the OneFEU Fund, a crowdfunding project made possible by the combined efforts of the FEU Alumni Community.
In its pilot run, the scholarship program has sent 30 scholars to partner schools such as Anihan Technical School, Don Bosco Technical College, and DualTech Training Center.
The scholarship program is also funded through FEU ARO’s OneFEU Fund. It is open to all dependents of the FEU community, including but not limited to maintenance staff, security personnel, drivers, contractors, forest rangers, and indigenous people.
Currently, the FEU Alumni Relations Office is searching for the next batch of scholars that wish to enroll in the Electromechanics Technology Course at Dualtech or Senior High School Program at the newest partner school, Edustria High School.
