FEU Institute of Education @ 87: Continuing the Legacy

By Joseph R. Jintalan and Chenee M. Dino-Aparicio

As FEU Institute of Education turns 87 this year, the alumni association recently held virtual meetings to arrange come-back events and other projects. The virtual meeting also highlighted the appointment of new officers.

The new IE Alumni Association President, Dr. Hernando L. Bernal, Jr., envisions the association to “[r]eactivate, reach out, re-engage all FEU IE Alumni.” With the vision that “no one is left behind” under his leadership, the officers plan to create a network of professionals (Human Resource in the field of education), provide enrichment of the professional (Continuing Professional Development), and build a strong partnership with FEU community and stakeholders.

The IE Alumni Association is carefully planning pocket reunions to give way to a more intimate and fun get-together. These will help expand to alumni activities for the 90th Founding Anniversary of the Institute and the Grand Alumni Homecoming in 2024.

Alongside this, IE is happy to announce that as it celebrates nearly nine decades of teacher formation among pre-service and post-graduate students, new transnational undergraduate and graduate programs will be offered starting SY 2021-2022.
