MANILA, Philippines – The Alumni Relations Office (ARO), in partnership with the FEU Alumni Association and Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation (NRMF), took part in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Juan Luna Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila ahead of the opening of School Year 2026-2027.
Brigada Eskwela 2026 is a nationwide initiative aimed at preparing public schools for the opening of School Year 2026-2027 on June 8, 2026. Carrying the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the program encourages volunteer participation from individuals, organizations, and communities to help ensure that schools are clean, safe, and ready to provide quality learning experiences for students.
Through the collective efforts of volunteers and partners, Brigada Eskwela 2026 was successfully conducted at Juan Luna Elementary School, contributing to the improvement of school facilities and creating a more conducive atmosphere for learning.
Aside from classroom clean-ups and facility improvements, this year’s initiative also brought together young learners for a meaningful learning and visioning activity, encouraging them to imagine their aspirations and excitement for the school year ahead. It was a reminder that preparing schools is not only about improving physical spaces, but also about nurturing hope, confidence, and a love for learning.
