Alumni Led/Funded Initiatives Against Covid-19

Pay-it-forward

  • Led by Alumna – Ms. Amor Collera (BSN 1985 – US Based)
  • Partnered with Alumni Relation Office and Volunteerism Services Office for the Purchasing and Delivery of Vitamin-C to different hospitals. 
  • Provided 30-day supply of Vitamin-C to 1,952 frontliners

Pantawid Covid Project

  • Led by 2018 AB Communication graduates namely: Patrick Manuel, Marj Baclig, Frances Garcia, and Czeann Reyes
  • Distributed almost 4,000 food packs to stranded students and poor families in Morayta, Manila, Sitio San Roque, Quezon City, Payatas,Baseco, Sta Ana Manilo, Pandacan, Olongapo, and Bataan.  

Pakig-Ambit Movement

  • Led by Alumnus – John Michael Lava, CPA
  • PAKIG-AMBIT is an initiative of Cebu-based CPAs to provide urgent medical necessities to our brave COVID front liners and vulnerable sectors.
  • Distributed almost 500 Protective Suites, Face masks, and Face shields to PGH, Perpetual Succour Hospital, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Cebu Velez General Hospital, Veterans Memorial Medical Center, Mandaue District Hospital, and DOH Covid Molecular Laboratory

Halad Paglaom Project (Offer Hope)

  • Led by FEU Graduates: RJ Sangcap, Exekiel Concha, Ralph Jervis Bangan, Alessandra Marie Thelmo, and Love Gardose
  • Distributed more than 200 relief packs to the farmers of Battung, Tuao, Cagayan and fisherfolk community in sitio bangkusay and sitio kabutalid in barangay agpani, Naval, Biliran.

Plato Project

  • Led by Alumnae Dianne Saclolo, Gianne Lopez, and Jillian Catigan
  • Plato project is a donation drive for the food of our modern heroes, the frontliners.
  • Provided 400 set of meals and 500 sandwiches to all different frontliners (health care workers, grocery employees, garbage collectors, vendors, delivery workers, and gasoline pump attendants) in the towns of Naic, Maragondon & Ternate, Cavite. 

Be the Juan PH

  • Led by Alumnus Rhussel Famy
  • Be the Juan PH is a youth-led volunteer organization which has initiated donation drives to provide food packs for the vulnerable communities affected by COVID-19.
  • Provided 500 food packs to poor farmers of Iloilo and 550 food packs and 1,000 McDonald’s Meals for the fire victims of Happy Land Tondo.

TonDonation Drive

  • Led by a group of Alumni and FEU law students
  • Provided 800 relief packs containing basic necessities such as rice, canned goods and toiletries to the residents to Brgy. 105 Happyland, Tondo, Manila.

SINAG Filipina Movement

  • Led by alumnae: Mikaela Viray, Annaliza Lee, Clarisse Aganon, Mikah Mabutol, Chanel Santos, and Kimberly Marquez
  • A youth-organization behind Juander Women that sparks empowering conversations and builds sustainable community projects for the most vulnerable sectors in the society where women and young girls are most affected. 
  • Donated PHP 446,210 worth of goods to Manila Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and Veterans Memorial Medical Center.

Caloocan Young Leaders Initiative

  • Led by Alumnus Jap Uminga (AB English 2008)
  • Provided PhP 70,000.00 peso worth of PPEs to Medical Frontliners of Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, Tala Caloocan City
  • The group launched an information campaign also as a response for the timely dissemination of accurate and critical information about Covid-19.
