Barangay Chairwoman Diana Espinosa, a 1976 FEU Girls High School alumna, remained honest amidst a seemingly insurmountable crisis brought by the Covid- 19 pandemic. She was praised publicly in the Manila Public Information Office social media channel of Mayor Isko Moreno for returning a total of PHP 2,053,000.00 excess City Amelioration Crisis Assistance Fund (CACAF).
Kap Espinosa served as a kagawad for three consecutive terms before getting elected Barangay Chairwoman of Baseco Compound which has a total population of 70,000+ individuals or 22,241 families. According to her, she was given a CACAF budget amounting to PHP 20,370,000 which is good for 20,370 families. She distributed only PHP 1,000 for each of the 22, 241 families only as mandated and returned the rest. Indeed, her honesty is one of the inspiring acts that we seldom hear about in the world of politics
Thank you FEU Alumni Relations Office for featuring Barangay Kap Diana Espinosa. Our batch FEU GHS Batch ‘76 are proud of her.
