FEU Alumni Relations Office and Volunteerism Services Office, in Collaboration with Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation launched the “Brave as One Against Covid-19” campaign last march 25, 2020, which aims to support the frontliners of RITM and different FEU hospitals in Metro Manila.
Since the start of this campaign, we have been able to provide 2400 meals distributed equally to Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, FEU-NRMF Hospital, and Sta Ana Hospital. 800 face shields were distributed to eight hospitals. The academic services office asked the team to also provide assistance to more than 100 stranded FEU students staying in their dormitories, apartments, and condominiums who were unable to go back home. Eighty-four (84) of them already received their food packs.
In partnership with the Pay-it-forward group of Ms. Amor Collera (a US-based alumna, BSN 1985), we provided a 30-day supply of Vitamin-C to 1,456 hospital frontliners in metro manila and nearby provinces.
Another significant partnership is with the Pantawid Covid project Led by 2018 AB Communication graduates namely: Patrick Manuel, Marj Baclig, Frances Garcia, and Czeann Reyes. Through their group, we received Php350,000 pesos worth of groceries that were distributed to poor communities in Baseco Compound, Payatas, Pandacan, and Bataan.
