3 Tamaraws cited in Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientists List

Three Far Eastern University alumni were included in Elsevier’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list: Dr. Joemer Maravilla, Prof. Violeta Lopez, and Dr. Jerome Cleofas.

Dr. Maravilla, a distinguished Research Fellow at the University of Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research, also leads the COCOON Global Collaborative Study in the Philippines. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at FEU, where he earned his BS in Nursing in 2012.

Prof. Lopez, a BS Nursing graduate of FEU in 1973, has built an esteemed career in nursing education, administration, and research, publishing over 350 works, mentoring international PhD students, and holding leadership roles in Australia and China. She has also been globally honored as a Transcultural Nursing Scholar and inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Researcher Hall of Fame.

Dr. Cleofas, who earned his BS in Nursing at FEU in 2007, is an educator and researcher teaching various health and social science courses. He has presented his studies in local and international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and served as a Senior Research Associate and Institutional Planning Coordinator in a Catholic university. He is also active in professional and research organizations, including the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium.
